Role Overview:
The Innovation and Communication Manager is responsible for leading organisational initiatives to enhance service quality, promote innovation, and drive continuous improvement across all services. Reporting directly to the COO, this role plays a critical part in shaping Kingsriver’s service delivery, implementing innovative practices, and building staff capability to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Innovation & Service Development

Lead the identification, design, and implementation of innovative service models that respond to emerging needs.

Pilot new programmes and service approaches, gathering data to evaluate effectiveness and scalability.

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to integrate best practices.

Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
2. Staff Development & Organisational Learning

Design and deliver staff development programmes focused on innovation, quality improvement, and person-centred care.

Mentor and support service managers and frontline staff to build capabilities and encourage initiative.

Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Collaborate with service users, families, and external partners to gather feedback and drive improvements.

Represent Kingsriver at sector forums and with regulatory bodies.

Build strong relationships with funders, community partners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Degree in Social Care, Health Management, Organisational Development, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years' experience in quality management, service innovation, or staff development in social care/disability services.

Proven track record of designing and implementing innovative service models.

Strong knowledge of HIQA, HSE, and national disability service standards.

Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
