The Role

We are recruiting a Governance & Compliance Support Officer to support the organisation’s governance, quality, and compliance functions. The role focuses on governance records, audit and HIQA preparedness, quality systems, and reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate records of Board and committee meetings, including minutes and action logs

  • Maintain governance and compliance documentation and registers

  • Support internal and external audits and track actions

  • Assist with HIQA compliance and regulatory preparedness

  • Maintain audit and quality data using systems such as VI Clarity

  • Collate data, identify trends, and prepare reports for senior management

 

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience

  • Experience of Board-level minute-taking and governance documentation

  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel)

  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally

 

Desirable

  • Experience in a Section 39, healthcare, or regulated environment

  • Knowledge of HIQA standards or audit processes

  • Experience using VI Clarity or similar systems
