Manual Handling & People Moving
Manual Handling & People Moving training equips employees with the correct skills and knowledge to safely perform lifts in the work place.
There is no stipulations on who can attend the course although it is largely tailored towards and best fitting of those working in social/healthcare settings.
The course instructor is Sarah Mulligan. Sarah is a Social Care Worker in our residential services here at Kingsriver. Sarah has a wealth of experience in social care, with an extensive career spanning over a number of varying types of services. Sarah has several years of experience delivering the course at hand, predominantly in Social Care settings.
The course will be delivered in person at our centre in Ennisnag, Stoneyford, Co. Kilkenny.
The full Manual Handling & People Moving course takes place in one day, from 09:30 to 15:30.
A shorter sitting of the course can be taken for just Manual Handling purposes from 09:30 to 12:30.

There is no formal assessment for this course. Students will have to demonstrate lifts to the trainer. Once the trainer is happy the students are comfortable with the techniques, the student will be deemed successful in the course.
On successful completion of the course students will receive a Kingsriver certificate in Manual Handling & People Moving. This certificate is valid for 3 years from date of completion.
